Account Setup

Setting up your Nightscout Pro account is quick and straightforward. This guide walks you through creating your account, choosing a subscription, and getting ready to launch your Nightscout site.

You do not need any technical knowledge to complete this process.


Creating Your Account

Step 1. Visit the signup page

Go to
https://my.nightscoutpro.com/signup

You will see the account creation form.


Step 2. Enter your account details

Enter the following information:

  • Your email address
  • A secure password
  • Confirmation of your password

Your email address will be used for account access, billing receipts, and important service notifications.


Step 3. Choose a pricing plan

Review the available subscription options and select the plan that best suits your needs.

Each plan includes fully managed Nightscout hosting, security, updates, and ongoing maintenance.


Step 4. Complete payment details

Enter your payment information and confirm your subscription.

Payments are processed securely using Stripe. Nightscout Pro does not store your card details.

Once payment is confirmed, your account will be created immediately.


After Your Account Is Created

After signing up, you will be guided through the initial setup of your Nightscout site.

This process is fully automated and usually completes within one minute.

Your next steps will be:

  1. Choose your Nightscout URL
    This is your site name and web address
  2. Set your API Secret
    This acts as the password used by uploaders and apps
  3. Choose your display units
    Select either mg/dL or mmol/L
  4. Connect your uploaders
    Configure your CGM or companion apps to send data to your site

Once these steps are complete, your Nightscout site will be live and ready to use.


Accessing Your Account Dashboard

You can manage your account at any time by logging in at:
https://my.nightscoutpro.com/login

From your dashboard, you can:

  • Access your Nightscout site
  • Manage your subscription and billing
  • Update your account details
  • Access support and documentation

Password Reset

If you forget your password, you can reset it easily.

  1. Visit
    https://my.nightscoutpro.com/password-reset
  2. Enter the email address associated with your account
  3. Check your email for the password reset message
  4. Follow the link to create a new password
  5. Log in using your new password

If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder.


Updating Account Information

You can update your account details at any time.

  1. Log in to your account dashboard
  2. Go to the account settings section
  3. Make your changes
  4. Save your updates

Changes take effect immediately.


Subscription and Billing Management

Changing your plan

If your needs change, you can upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time.

  1. Log in to your account dashboard
  2. Navigate to the Manage Billing section
  3. You will be redirected to the secure Stripe customer portal
  4. Select Change Plan
  5. Choose your new plan and confirm

Plan changes are applied according to Stripe’s standard billing rules.


Billing information

  • Subscriptions are billed automatically based on your selected plan
  • Billing history and invoices are available in the Stripe customer portal
  • Receipts are sent automatically to your email address

You remain in full control of your subscription at all times.
