Nightscout Pro is designed to make Nightscout accessible, reliable, and easy to use for people around the world. This page explains what is included in your Nightscout Pro subscription, what kind of support you can expect, and where the boundaries are.


Our Mission

Nightscout Pro exists to remove the technical barriers that prevent people from using Nightscout.

Not everyone has the time, energy, or technical confidence to manage servers, databases, updates, and security. Our goal is to handle all of that for you, so you can focus on accessing and using your diabetes data without worrying about infrastructure.

Nightscout Pro is built to support both non-technical users and experienced users who value reliability and time savings.


What Nightscout Pro Provides

Instant Nightscout setup

Your Nightscout site is created automatically as part of your subscription.

This includes:

  • Automated site creation, typically live within one minute
  • Database setup and configuration
  • Server deployment and hosting
  • Secure domain hosting on nightscoutpro.com

No manual setup or server configuration is required.


Ongoing maintenance and updates

Nightscout Pro handles the technical work required to keep your site running smoothly.

This includes:

  • Server maintenance and uptime monitoring
  • Database management and regular backups
  • Security updates and patches
  • Nightscout version updates when appropriate
  • Performance monitoring and issue detection

You do not need to manage updates, certificates, or infrastructure.


Technical infrastructure

Your subscription includes all core infrastructure required to run Nightscout reliably:

  • Cloud hosting designed for stability and availability
  • Secure database storage for your data
  • Data transfer and bandwidth for uploaders and followers
  • Automated backup systems
  • Security measures to protect against unauthorised access

Your Nightscout site runs on professionally managed infrastructure rather than free or experimental hosting platforms.


Nightscout Support

Your subscription includes support for Nightscout and Nightscout Pro itself.

This includes help with:

  • Initial setup and onboarding
  • Nightscout Pro account and site configuration
  • Nightscout settings and behaviour
  • Understanding Nightscout features
  • Troubleshooting Nightscout-related issues
  • Best practices for stable and safe use

Support is provided by people who understand Nightscout and the wider diabetes technology ecosystem.


What’s Not Included

Nightscout Pro focuses on hosting, reliability, and Nightscout configuration. Some areas fall outside the scope of what we can directly support.

Third-party apps and systems

Many users interact with Nightscout through third-party tools. While we can help you connect these tools, we cannot provide full support for them.

This includes:

  • Uploader apps such as xDrip+, Spike, Loop, AndroidAPS, Trio, or iAPS
  • CGM manufacturer apps or services
  • Insulin pump hardware or pump software
  • Follower apps beyond basic connection help

We can usually help with Nightscout-side configuration, but not with internal issues inside third-party apps.


Hardware support

We are unable to provide support for hardware-related issues, including:

  • CGM hardware problems
  • Insulin pump hardware issues
  • Phone, tablet, or computer hardware
  • Bluetooth or device connectivity faults

For these issues, you should contact the relevant manufacturer or app developer.


Additional assistance

Although third-party apps and hardware are outside the formal scope of support, we understand that the diabetes technology ecosystem can be complex.

Where possible:

  • We may offer general guidance or troubleshooting suggestions
  • We can often help identify whether an issue is Nightscout-related or external
  • We may be able to point you towards the right documentation or community

This additional help is provided on a best-effort basis and is not guaranteed.
